Welcome to the home of Amala Movement

Where we spark joy, connection, creativity and empowerment through dance, yoga and person-centred movement.

Amala Movement

As a dance and yoga teacher, I know the power of movement for personal well-being and community connection.

There’s nothing better than witnessing growth such as improved confidence when people feel seen and improved mobility when they engage in movement-based activities. The cherry on top is hearing feedback like:

Classes for schools and communities

Accessibility is a core value of mine personally and professionally. That’s why I’m so passionate about creating inclusive and creative spaces for groups of adults and children with physical and/or learning disabilities.

In a supportive environment, we go at their own pace and meet every participant where they are so everyone can enjoy all the benefits of dance, yoga and person-centred movement including:

  • Wellness and joy
  • Freedom and fun
  • Empowerment and autonomy
  • Mindfulness and connection

If you’re part of a school or community and think a person-centred movement session could be a good fit for you, reach out.

Finding peace in the chaos

We are all better off when we make time for our own well-being. I’m all about encouraging rest, slowing down, simple living and making a habit of mindfulness and self-care. It’s my mission to remind people to prioritise rest because we are human beings, not human doings

If you’re an individual looking for support with your own personal practice, I have options for how I can help you to establish a mindfulness practice.

Let’s have a cuppa

Dip your toe into the pool of feel-good wellness practices

I know how hard it can be to find time for self-care. But we can’t forget that to best serve other people, we need to serve ourselves first.
